Enrollment
Important Information for a Smooth Start to the School Year 2025 / 2026
E-mails – Primary Means of Communication
You will receive a welcome e-mail before Saturday, September 6, and weekly updates from your child’s teacher throughout the school year.
- Please add our e-mail addresses to your safe sender list to avoid messages landing in your spam or social folders.
- We use the addresses you provided on the registration form. If you would like to add or update addresses, please let us know.
Class Time: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
- Classes are divided into three 45-minute sessions with a 15-minute break in between.
- If you need to speak with your child’s teacher, please wait until after dismissal at 12:00 pm. Teachers are busy preparing and working with students before class.
- Please download the DSC Academic Calendar 2025–26 (LINK) for your reference.
Classroom Entry Procedures
- Preschoolers (Fr. Moreno, Fr. Breedlove, Fr. Peltzer) and students in the back/gym-side classrooms (Fr. Rowland, Fr. Hofmann, Hr. Ghislain) must use the main front entrance.
- Students in classrooms facing the front of the building may enter directly from the outside.
Please review the DSC site map (LINK) and classroom list (LINK). Teacher names will be posted on classroom doors, and volunteers will be available to assist on the first day.
Building Access:
- Main entrance open for drop-off: 9:15–9:45 am
- Locked during school hours
- Reopens for pick-up: 11:50 am
If you need to enter during class, please ring the doorbell.
Pick-up Note: If someone other than the listed caregiver will pick up your child, notify the teacher in writing in advance.
Student Placement
We aim to place each student where they can thrive, considering both language proficiency and age/grade level in their weekday school.
- Some placements may be temporary until we have assessed language skills.
- Placement may be adjusted during the year; your feedback to teachers is very important.
- Due to late registrations, classes may be divided, merged, or newly created.
- If your child has the same teacher as last year, this means the teacher is advancing with the class, not repeating the level.
Preschool & Kindergarten
Teachers will provide you with additional, class-specific information.
Elementary, Middle & High School
Please ensure your child brings:
- Paper or a notebook and a pencil/pen
- A healthy snack and water
- A separate school bag for DSC materials to avoid items being forgotten at home
Books will not be distributed during the first two weeks. Teachers will provide detailed supply lists.
Wellness Policy
- DSC is a peanut-free school due to severe allergies.
- Students may not share food.
- If you would like to bring birthday treats, please coordinate with your child’s teacher first.
- Review our DSC Wellness Policy (LINK) carefully.
Thank You!
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
Let’s make this a fantastic year together!
